Kuoni’s products and activities are assessed for their sustainability by a number of different analysts. Below you will find details of our most important partners in the sustainable investment field, together with the key findings of the analyses concerned.
Bank Sarasin
Bank Sarasin is a leading Swiss private bank whose many years of banking experience has made it consciously opt for sustainability as a key component of its corporate philosophy. It provides a high level of service and expertise when acting as investment advisor and asset manager for private and institutional clients. For the second year in a row, Bank Sarasin has rated Kuoni as “best in class” within its sustainability sector report for the tourism industry released in January 2013.
The Ethos Foundation
The Swiss-based Ethos Foundation for sustainable development was established in 1997 by two Geneva-based occupational pension schemes, and currently numbers 84 institutional investors. The purpose of the foundation is to promote a due regard to the principles of sustainable development and best-practice corporate governance in investment and asset-management activities. Ethos assessed Kuoni as “above industry average” in these areas in 2009.
INrate
INrate is an independent sustainability rating agency based in Switzerland that conducts research and assessment on companies’ social and environmental credentials. INrate offers assistance and advice on developing SRI products and devising SRI investment strategies. In October 2007 INrate awarded Kuoni an A+, an excellent result that was also a further improvement on its prior-year assessment.
Bilanz
Bilanz, the Swiss-based business magazine, conducts an annual survey of the sustainability credentials of 50 Swiss companies. In its 2009 survey, Kuoni emerged as “sector leader” in the leisure field.
